Look at the right then look at the left, don't be confused, you are still in one country particularly in Geneva. Although it looks like a border between two country, this river still resides in one nation. Everybody are allowed to examine this, you might think that there is a border or wall between it but there is no such thing that prevents this two river to mix.

To explain this, we must know first where does the water of this river came from. About 100 km away, a river at the right drags sands which make it white and the left is just an ordinary river. When the water starts to meet, they just meet but don't mix and the reason might be because of their temperature. One is cold and the other is hot. The clear river has a cold temperature, and the white river has hot temperature. that's why if you look downside, the clear water goes up and the dirtier water resided at the bottom. "hot water is denser than cold water" that is so far the explanation for this.

Look at this Google Map to make you believe that this is really existing
